  The trailer was poorly maintained which resulted in an injury to myself requiring medical attention and damage to my car. The owner freely admitted in writing that that the jockey wheel was dodgy. Further the hand brake on the trailer did work resulting in the trailer rolling into my car.

  Re the booking detailed in the attached photos. This trailer is the most unroadworthy piece of junk that I have ever had the misfortune to use. Please find attached the evidence of this dangerous, under maintained, neglected scrap metal. The first photo is from under the leaf spring where the u bolts hold the rear axle to the leaf spring pack on the passenger side of the trailer. One nut is missing entirely . Judging by the colour of the thread it appears the nut has been missing for some time. The spring washers are the incorrect size and should have had flat washers behind them. The blue ratchet strap is what I used to pull the axle forward to get the tyre off the wheel arch of the trailer where it was rubbing. The tyre also had a groove cut into the sidewall where it rubbed against a grease nipple. The last photo shows that this is not the first time that this has happened as the last photo is of the spare tyre and it has the same groove. This trailer is lacking any maintenance or is being maintained by an unqualified person. The other photos show the messages I sent to Jordan, the trailer owner. I was forced to get a tyre repaired after I got a puncture as I had used the spare. Then another tyre blew so I was forced to pay for another tyre. All up between repairs & tyres I forked out an extra $550 & lost a day’s wages. The first tyre guy said the tyres were old. Your booking company should look long & hard at Jordan’s trailers before you continue to associate with him. There is such a thing as a chain of responsibility. Gordon Curtin
